Welcome to Dak Den Helder, located at Den Helderstraat 256 in the Leyenburg district of The Hague. Our daycare is part of Stichting DAK kindercentra and has provided trusted, professional childcare since 2003. Everything we do centres on creating a safe, warm environment where children aged 2 to 4 can develop to their full potential. The setting is designed specifically for toddler care with Early Childhood Education (ECE). We use the recognised Uk&Puk programme to focus on language development, social skills and school readiness. The cosy playroom offers different themed corners that invite free play and imaginative activities. From the group room children step straight onto our secure outdoor playground to run, climb and explore. Our qualified pedagogical staff welcome children every morning from 08:30 to 12:30, Monday to Friday. We work in small, clearly structured horizontal groups so every toddler receives the individual attention they need. Playing together is not only fun but also educational. Through guided activities we prepare your child for primary school in a playful way, building confidence and curiosity. Dak Den Helder collaborates with local primary schools to ensure a smooth transition from toddler care to school.
