Dak Acacia

Welcome to Dak Acacia, our after-school care (BSO) located at Acaciastraat 139A in The Hague. We are part of Dak kindercentra, a social childcare organization that has been offering children in the neighbourhood a safe and inspiring place to grow for over 40 years. At Dak Acacia, children aged 4 to 12 come together after school to play, explore and just be themselves. No two afternoons are the same at our location. With space for up to 126 children, we offer a creative studio, a theatre stage and plenty of room to play both indoors and outdoors. Children are encouraged to discover their talents, whether that’s through dance, music, gardening or simply enjoying a quiet moment with a drawing or a game. We believe in giving children the freedom to choose what they need each day. Our team of trained and experienced pedagogical staff welcomes every child with warmth and curiosity. They organise activities based on the children’s interests – from guitar lessons and cooking workshops to theatre and outdoor adventures. We also maintain close cooperation with local primary schools, including the Bavinckschool, to ensure a smooth transition from school to after-school care. Parents describe Dak Acacia as an extension of home: a place where children feel safe, seen and valued. We grow together, in the heart of the neighbourhood, with room for every child to be uniquely themselves.
