Welcome to Dagopvang Calimero Kidz 0-4 years, our small-scale daycare centre located at Onderdendamsterweg 43a in Winsum. We provide professional and flexible care for up to 58 children aged 0 to 4, divided into a baby group “de Kuikentjes”, a toddler group and a pre-school group “de Eendjes”. Every child is assigned a fixed mentor and learns and plays with peers in small, familiar groups. Our pedagogical approach centres on giving children space to develop at their own pace. We create a safe, homely environment where free play, rest and predictability are key. Playing is discovering and playing is growing; therefore we use the daily language-development programme Uk & Puk. Through puppet Puk and age-appropriate activities we stimulate speech and language skills, social-emotional development and motor skills in babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers. Personal attention is very important to us. Our regular pedagogical professionals know each child and his or her needs. There is plenty of room to move around in the garden, quiet sleeping areas with cots and cradles, and all necessary care products are available. Bottle feeding and establishing a pleasant drinking and eating routine are also part of our care. Half-day sessions of at least 5 hours are possible; care is available daily from 07:00 to 18:00.
