Welcome to Citrien, our toddler care location at Breeweg 5 in Rotterdam. As part of gro-up childcare, we provide a safe and stimulating environment where toddlers aged 2 to 4 years can develop and grow. Our location has been registered in the National Childcare Register since October 1, 2021, under number 622470632.

We make this discovery journey together with your child in a healthy, safe, and opportunity-rich environment. We work with a clear pedagogical policy consisting of our general gro-up pedagogical policy 'How we work' and our location guide specifically for toddler care.
Our toddler care accommodates up to 16 children and works intensively with nearby schools. We provide pre-school education (VE) and have regular consultations between our pedagogical staff and teachers. This ensures a warm transition from toddler to preschooler and a smooth transition to primary education.
We highly value parent involvement. We organize annual meetings for parents and children, work with buddy parents who can support each other, and invite parents to share their hobbies or professions with the children as experts. Summary
Kindercentrum Citrien in Rotterdam provides half-day care for 16 children aged 2-4 years, with early childhood education following the Kaleidoscoop programme. The annual Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspection of 23 September 2025 shows that the location scores well on virtually all quality requirements: pedagogical policy and practice are sound, safety and health policy is up to date and adhered to, staff are qualified and registered in the Persons Register, and parents are well informed. There was one violation: not all staff were familiar with the mandatory reporting, consultation, and filing obligations regarding suspected abuse or mistreatment by colleagues or the provider. Following a recovery offer, knowledge was refreshed within ten days through team consultation and additional training; the requirement is now being met. The municipality is advised not to pursue enforcement.
