2Schuiten

Welcome to 2Schuiten, our small-scale toddler care facility in the heart of Wateringse Veld in The Hague. We provide a warm and safe place for children aged 2 to 4 years, where they can grow and develop through play. Our cozy and clearly arranged classroom is located right next to CBS De Gantel, ensuring a smooth transition to primary school later on. At 2Schuiten, we work with enthusiastic childcare professionals who give each child the personal attention they deserve. We believe in the power of small groups, allowing us to connect well with each child's world of experience. Our play areas are challengingly arranged with materials that stimulate imagination and development. Think of a construction corner, a reading corner with picture books, a home corner where they can role-play, and a creative corner for crafts and drawing. We find it important that children feel safe and secure. Therefore, we offer a predictable structure with fixed routines, such as singing songs together, reading picture books, and eating fruit together. We pay much attention to social-emotional development: children learn to take each other into account, solve conflicts, and indicate their own boundaries. Outside, children can play on our own playground with a sandbox, climbing equipment, and bicycles. We also regularly go on discovery trips in the immediate vicinity of Wateringse Veld. When the weather is nice, we eat outside and use our outdoor space for play and relaxation. As part of 2Samen, we use the Parent App, which keeps you as a parent informed about your child's development. We work according to the principles of Early Childhood Education (VVE), where we work on language development, numeracy skills, and social skills through play. All this in a safe and familiar environment where fun and development go hand in hand.
