KDV IKC de Akker

Welcome to KDV IKC de Akker, located at Engelgaarde 31 in the Oosterboer district of Meppel. We are part of Kindcentrum de Akker, where education and childcare come together under one roof. Since 2014, we have been providing daycare (KDV) for children aged 0 to 4 years in a safe, homely environment. Since August 2022, our childcare has been expanded with a baby group for children aged 0-2 years, allowing parents to come to us from birth. Our pedagogical vision is based on the Kindcentrum concept, where we work with one team and one pedagogical approach. We put the child at the center and believe in continuous development. The childcare staff are part of the Kindcentrum de Akker team, ensuring much consultation and coordination on pedagogical approach and activities. We work closely with the primary school, ensuring a smooth transition from childcare to school. We offer horizontal groups, with babies (0-2 years) and toddlers (2-4 years) being cared for in separate groups. Our spaces are specially designed for the age and developmental stage of the children. For the youngest children, we have quiet sleeping areas and safe play corners, while toddlers can play in our spacious group rooms with direct access to our green outdoor space. Our childcare is open Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:15 PM. Childcare from 7:00 AM is possible on request. We work with PlusKinderopvang as our childcare organization, handling all practical matters related to childcare. Parents can stay informed about all activities and developments of their child through our app (Parro). We provide pre-school education (VVE), with special attention to children's language and speech development. This aligns with the primary school's programs, creating a continuous developmental line.
