Casca BSO Nicolaas Beets

BSO Nicolaas Beets is a small-scale, cosy after-school care facility run by Casca Kinderopvang B.V. Located right on the playground of Nicolaas Beets primary school at Sportparklaan 14 in Heemstede, we welcome up to 20 children aged 4 to 12. Children only have to cross the familiar schoolyard to reach us, creating a safe and recognisable feeling. Our pedagogical vision centres on every child being allowed to be themselves. We work in an age-appropriate manner, tuning in to each child’s individual needs and development. For the youngest children (4–7 years) our BSO is the place to unwind after a busy school day. There is plenty of room for rest and relaxation with a permanent team of pedagogical staff who create a familiar, warm atmosphere. Each younger child has a personal mentor for focused attention. We follow the child’s pace; one moment they choose to read a book on the sofa, the next they build with blocks or play in the home corner. On Thursdays we offer a special taster workshop programme. Children can try different sports such as yoga, judo or football, or discover the world of music and art. During school holidays we open our doors with famous themed holiday programmes covering Nature, Media, Health or Fairy Tales. We organise workshops led by real experts, take trips to the museum, the forest or bake bread with the local baker. Holidays are a true celebration for children and our team alike. We have worked closely with the Nicolaas Beets primary school team for years. We regularly consult about the children and about the shared use of facilities such as the gym. In this way play and learning flow naturally into each other. Our staff are trained in the Gordon method, enabling us to communicate with children effectively, respectfully and on an equal footing. We are proud of our close-knit team of experienced pedagogical professionals with whom children and parents build personal relationships. Casca BSO Nicolaas Beets is more than just childcare; we feel strongly connected to Heemstede. We support local businesses and contribute to the well-being of our village.
