Bzzzonder Eemvallei

Bzzzonder Eemvallei is located right at the heart of the neighbourhood: our after-school care space is set inside the canteen of Hockey Club Eemvallei, just opposite Ikea and next to the local skate park. This gives us instant access to a huge garden and our own sports pitch. We welcome children aged 4 to 12, pick them up from nearby primary schools and bring them to a place that feels like a big living room with the door to the outdoors always open. Our approach is simple: children are given room to discover what they enjoy. A steady team of pedagogical professionals knows exactly when to join a game and when to step back. After school the children first unwind with a biscuit and a chat, then decide for themselves whether to join a sports activity, help cook in our small kitchen corner or curl up with a book in the quiet area. The hockey club regularly lends us equipment, so we can experiment with hockey, korfball or any new game the children invent. We believe every child should feel safe and seen. That is why we work in small groups of up to 22 children, giving us time for every story. Dirty knees, wet hair or a torn pair of trousers? We celebrate them as proof of a day well played. Photos of the adventures are shared through our parent app so parents can enjoy the fun too. Bzzzonder Eemvallei is the place where children can simply be themselves after school and where parents know their child is in good hands.
