Buitenschoolse opvang 't Boerderijke

Buitenschoolse opvang ‘t Boerderijke is located on the site of a former pig farm at Breemortelweg 12 in Deurne. We are a private after-school care facility providing care for up to 44 children aged 4 to 12. Our location consists of three base groups: ‘t Boerderijke (20 children), ‘t Schuurke (10 children) and ‘t Weike (10 children). After school, children are collected from various primary schools in Deurne by our own minibus or car. We work according to a clear pedagogical policy focused on safety, security and development. Children are free to choose whether to join an activity or play on their own. We offer both indoor and outdoor activities: arts and crafts, cooking, gardening, sports and games, and we regularly go on excursions. Our spacious outdoor area is set in a rural environment and offers plenty of space to romp and explore. During school holidays we bring all BSO groups together on this site, creating a cosy, homely atmosphere in which children of different ages play together. Structure and routine are important to us. Every afternoon starts with shared fruit and a moment to discuss the day. Children then choose their own activity via our planning board. We end with a joint moment: drinks, a biscuit and sharing stories. Parents are welcomed personally at drop-off and pick-up; our pedagogical staff tell how the day went and listen to what is happening at home. Since 2018 we have worked with a mentor for each child: one fixed contact point for parents to discuss development. In this way we ensure that ‘t Boerderijke is a second home where every child can be themselves.
