Welcome to BSO ‘t Kwetternest, located at Kloosterlaan 7c in the heart of Schinveld. We are part of Humankind, a nationwide organisation with more than forty years of experience in childcare and child development. Our team is ready every weekday from 07:30 to 18:30 to offer children aged 4 to 12 a welcoming place after school. At our BSO, children decide – together with our pedagogical staff – what they want to do. This freedom results in a colourful mix of activities: one day we are busy crafting or baking, the next we build a hut in the garden or head out to the playground. We cook healthy recipes, play sports in the gym of the neighbouring school and spend as much time as possible outside to explore, run and play. Our spacious, green outdoor area offers plenty of room for adventure. There is always something going on: from tag to football, from bug hunting to sandcastle building. During holidays we run a special holiday programme with extra trips and themed days, ensuring that the longer school-free periods are filled with fun and challenge. BSO ‘t Kwetternest works closely with the local primary schools. Short lines of communication with teachers ensure a smooth transition from school to childcare and back again. We know the children, understand what is on their minds and respond to their need for rest or movement after a long school day. Parents experience our location as homely and involved. We take time for a chat, share special moments and actively involve parents in our activities. Together we create a safe, challenging environment in which every child can be themselves and discover new talents.
