Buitenschoolse Opvang Gans Anderz is located at Linthorst Homanlaan 1 in Coevorden and offers out-of-school care for up to 30 children aged 4 to 13. Registered in the National Childcare Register since 2 February 2017 under number 138787335, our BSO provides care before and after school, on study days and during school holidays. We are part of VOF Gans Anderz, a small-scale organisation that puts the relationship with parents at the heart of everything we do. We take time to build trust—especially with families from the nearby camps—and our qualified staff speak the language of the parents, both literally and figuratively. A cosy living-room area is available for young mothers who need homework support or simply a listening ear. Our building is more than a childcare centre: it also houses the food bank, RefugeeWork, a language school, a clothing bank and social services. This unique mix creates a ‘village in the city’ where parents meet, share experiences and feel part of a warm network. Children bring this sense of belonging into the group. Together with our team and the parent committee we are currently developing a new pedagogical policy that focuses on following the child rather than preparing them for primary school. At BSO Gans Anderz every child is seen, heard and safe.
