Buitenschoolse Opvang De Hooizolder

BSO De Hooizolder is located on the first floor of childcare centre Boerderij De Bongerd at Bongerdsweg in Borne. We provide after-school care for up to 40 children aged 4 to 12. Our setting is in the green new-build neighbourhood De Bornsche Maten, next to the Bornse Beek park and close to primary schools De Beekparkschool and De Veste. Many children move seamlessly from our on-site day-care to the BSO, staying in the same familiar farm environment with their friends. A stable team of professionally trained pedagogical staff, all holding a valid paediatric first-aid certificate, look after the children. Each child is assigned a personal mentor, giving parents one consistent point of contact. We open at 14:00 and close at 18:30 during term time and also offer care during all school holidays. After school the children first relax with a drink and a chat, then choose from activities such as playing in the large garden, tending our vegetable patch, cuddling the rabbits and chickens, or joining creative and sports activities. We balance rest and challenge so children can unwind after a busy school day while still discovering new things. Parents receive a monthly activity schedule so everyone knows what is planned.
