Buitenschoolse Opvang De Achthoek

Welcome to Buitenschoolse Opvang De Achthoek, located within primary school De Achthoek in the charming village of Den Hout. We are a small-scale after-school care facility that welcomes up to 30 children aged 4 to 12. As part of Stichting De Achthoek, a local non-profit foundation, we provide tailor-made care that matches each child’s world of experience. Our BSO is open 52 weeks a year, except on official holidays. During school weeks we receive children from 14:15 to 18:00. During holidays and study days we are open from 07:00 to 18:00, so parents can rely on us all year round. We work with age-based core groups, allowing us to guide and stimulate every child optimally in their development. Children can play freely in their leisure time. We offer a wide range of activities such as cooking, sports and games, music, chess, children’s studio, theatre, drawing and painting, English lessons and even skateboarding. There is also plenty of room for outdoor play in our garden. This creates an educational function in a non-school way: children discover and learn while having fun. We believe it is important that every child is known to us, so that we can adapt and give the attention that is needed. Together with parents, we want the best for the children entrusted to us. Respect and involvement are our key words.
