BSO Zomerland

Welcome to BSO Zomerland, the after-school care centre less than five minutes’ walk from Het Driespan and De Schelp primary schools in Puttershoek. We welcome up to 65 children aged 4 to 12 and offer a warm, home-like place where fun, relaxation and development go hand in hand. Children arrive and join one of two age-based groups. The Coole Kikkers is a small, cosy group for the youngest school starters. The Blitse Bevers brings together 4- to 12-year-olds to play, learn and discover together. From the age of 7, children can move on to our annex, where the self-named Toffe Tijgers enjoy sports and extra challenges in their own gym. Every afternoon starts with a healthy snack and time to unwind. After that, each child chooses what to do. In our two bright rooms, craft and play materials are within easy reach: pens, paper, building blocks or a favourite book. When something extra is needed, we dive into the central craft cupboard together. Our large kitchen in the hallway invites everyone to cook or bake – pancakes, pizzas and more. Outdoors is just as inviting. Younger children play on our own grounds with skates, jump ropes, chalk and balls. Older children head out independently or with a staff member to nearby playgrounds, the nature playground by school or the square behind the annex. On sunny days we drag tables outside for board games or organise water games. During school holidays we follow the national holiday theme of gro-up. Children help design the programme, so every break brings new workshops, challenges or outings. The summer highlight is our annual day trip to a campsite in Dordrecht: collected by coach, playing in the Biesbosch and ending with a barbecue. In short, BSO Zomerland gives every child space to be themselves, try new things and make friends. We are a second home where parents leave their children with confidence.
