ZieZo

We are Kindercentrum ZieZo, a Junis childcare centre located at Da Costasingel 42 in Hazerswoude-Rijndijk. We offer after-school care for primary-school children in a small-scale, homely setting where every child quickly feels at home. Each afternoon starts with a shared moment: we enjoy fresh fruit or a biscuit and chat about the school day. Afterwards the children decide for themselves what they would like to do. Indoors we have construction corners, a creative table, a cosy reading corner and plenty of room for games. Outside there is an adventurous playground with climbing frames, a sandpit and lots of space to run or cycle. We regularly use the playground of De Tweeklank primary school, which we also reach on foot when collecting the children. Our pedagogical staff organise at least one activity every day, but participation is always optional. One day we might craft with natural materials, the next we build dens or play a team game. During holidays we run themed weeks such as ‘Discover your talent’ or ‘Journey around the world’. Parents can book holiday care from 07:30 to 18:30. Before school we run a breakfast club: on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 07:00 we have breakfast together and then walk the children safely to class. We work closely with De Tweeklank primary school and other nearby schools. Our staff collect the children on foot or by bicycle bus, allowing parents to work without worry. In short, every day at ZieZo brings new adventures in a familiar environment.
