BSO Wonderwijs

BSO Wonderwijs is located right inside primary school Wonderwijs at Auvermoerstraat 2 in Hoensbroek. We welcome children aged 4 to 12, both during term time and during school holidays. Because we share the building with the school, children simply walk into our after-school area when the last bell rings. Children in the lower grades are collected from their classroom; from grade 3 onwards they come independently. Our spaces are designed for what children need after a school day: a cosy lounge corner for reading or quiet games, a large kitchen for joint cooking and baking sessions, a computer room and our own vegetable garden. Outdoors we use the school playground and the gym for sports and games, in cooperation with primary school Hoensbroek-Zuid so that there is always plenty of outdoor space. Every day we offer a varied programme: sports and games, art and nature activities, dance, music and cooking workshops. We value children’s voices: together with the children and the “children’s mayor” we draw up a new monthly activity calendar. This way the children help decide what they want to learn and explore. During holidays there is extra time for big outings and projects. Pick-up and drop-off times are fixed: children can be brought until 09:00 and collected from 16:00. We advise parents to collect children as late as possible so they can fully enjoy the programme. BSO Wonderwijs operates on behalf of FLOW Kinderopvang. All pedagogical staff are trained according to the FLOW vision: attention for every child, room for individual choice, and learning together from and with each other.
