BSO Woerdkanjers

BSO Woerdkanjers is located at Noorderwoerd 2 in the centre of Schoonrewoerd and is part of Stichting Dichtbij Kinderopvang. Our location welcomes up to 33 children aged 4 to 12. After school we collect the children from local primary schools; when necessary we use our BSO bus, for which we always request permission in advance through the parent portal. Children have access to two spacious play rooms, a private gym and an educational vegetable garden. The garden offers plenty of opportunities to learn about vegetables, herbs and the natural cycle of the year. In the gym children can burn off energy with daily sports and movement activities. We also organise regular excursions, for example to the park or a museum, especially during school holidays. We work with mixed-age groups and provide activities that match each child’s interests and developmental stage. Our qualified pedagogical staff take time to listen to the children’s stories about their school day and tailor the programme accordingly. If a child needs some quiet time and prefers to do nothing for a while, that is perfectly fine. The BSO should be a place children are happy to go to after school. Clear structure and agreements are central to our approach, so that children feel safe and secure. At the same time we give room for personal initiative and discovery. In this way children grow in freedom and independence and make great strides in their development through play.
