Wiedewei BuitenGewoon Barendrecht

Wiedewei BuitenGewoon Barendrecht is located on the edge of Barendrecht at Zuider Carnisseweg 110. Our after-school care accommodates 40 children aged 4 to 12. We are part of Kibeo and believe in being outdoors, enjoying greenery and discovering nature through play. There are no computers or televisions here. Every day we go outside. Children play in our large garden with vegetable beds, a willow hut, fruit trees and insect hotels. They can cook in the sustainable mud kitchen, make their own salads in the salad bar or go on adventures in the ‘wild’ part of the garden. We teach them to grow, prune, water and replant. This way they discover how fun and educational nature can be. Our pedagogical staff guide the children with pleasure and attention. We work from trust and give space for their own initiative. Together with friends on an adventure, from playing in the mud to sowing vegetables: at Wiedewei BuitenGewoon Barendrecht children experience something new every day.
