BSO Weidum It Pertoer

Welcome to BSO It Pertoer in Weidum, part of Kids First COP group. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 at our location at Bumaleane 1 in Weidum. Our BSO has a capacity for up to 22 children and has been registered in the National Childcare Register since April 6, 2018 under number 119365935. Our pedagogical staff work according to the pedagogical policy of Kids First COP group. We follow four pedagogical core objectives: providing children with a safe foundation, stimulating their development, promoting social skills, and conveying generally accepted values and norms. We achieve this through observable actions and a clear daily schedule. Children come to our BSO after school where they first enjoy tea and a cookie together. Afterwards, there is time for free play or a offered activity. We work with themes that connect to the children's world of experience and the four seasons. Our activities are diverse: from crafts, games and drama to technical, cooking and baking activities. During holidays, we mainly work in themes where all activities are aligned. Outdoor play has a fixed place in our daily routine. We have an enclosed outdoor space where children can play under supervision. We regularly make excursions to the surrounding area, always ensuring the safety of the children. We ask permission from parents in advance and maintain the correct staff-child ratio. We value parent involvement. There is an active parent committee that provides solicited and unsolicited advice. We communicate with parents through a handover at the end of the day and for special events. New children have the opportunity to get used to the group, allowing them to become familiar with the space, staff and their group mates.
