BSO VZOD

Welcome to BSO VZOD, located in the heart of Kudelstaart at Wim Kan Dreef 2. We are an after-school care location operated by Solidoe, offering care for up to 50 children aged 4 to 12. Our facility is housed in the canteen of the korfball club Progress Zij Ons Doel – hence our name VZOD – and features large sports fields and a pleasant courtyard where children can fully enjoy themselves. At VZOD, we believe it’s important for children to feel at home. We create a space where they can play together, explore, and continue to develop. We give children room for their own ideas and let them choose what they want to do as much as possible. Of course, we are there to guide them, but fun always comes first. Our indoor space is set up with two large studio cabinets that help us create creative corners. We also have two smaller rooms where children can quietly do their homework or play a game. Our location is uniquely situated: surrounding the building are tennis courts, football fields, an ice rink, and a music club. Children who are members of a club can go straight there on their after-school care day without missing anything. We also regularly organize activities outside the premises. In the summer, for example, we cycle to the Sailing School where children learn to sail. During holidays, we offer a varied program including raft building, treasure hunts, laser gaming, wood burning, and much more! We’ve noticed that parents are very pleased with the independence children develop at VZOD. While children are initially picked up, over time they can go home independently – of course with parental permission. These are valuable steps in their development that align well with the transition to secondary education. BSO VZOD is open 52 weeks a year from Monday to Thursday, 8:15 AM to 6:30 PM. We work closely with local primary schools and pick up children after school. Would you like to come and see for yourself?
