De Vlinderboom op school is located at Vrije School Zaanstreek, Galjoenstraat 111-b in Zaandam. We provide after-school care (BSO) based on anthroposophical principles, fully aligned with the rhythm and schedule of the school. Our BSO offers a warm and familiar second home where children can unwind and be themselves after a busy school day. Our care is small-scale and led by a consistent team of pedagogical staff. We operate a vertical group structure, where toddlers and primary school children play and learn together. This fosters social development and a sense of responsibility among the children. Activities are tailored to each child’s age and include creative projects, cooking, and sports. Each afternoon begins with a shared lunch made exclusively from organic and biodynamic ingredients. We alternate between quiet and active moments, giving children space to play, create, or simply relax. Our daily rhythm is consistent and predictable, supporting a sense of safety and emotional security. Our BSO is only open to children attending Vrije School Zaanstreek. This ensures continuity in their familiar school environment, allowing them to stay in the same location after school hours. We are open on school days, during holidays, and on study days, with hours always aligned to the school schedule.
