BSO Vlindertuin

BSO de Vlindertuin is located in child centre De Ridder, within walking distance of Culemborg’s city centre. The same building also houses the Beatrix primary school and our toddler care ‘de Dwerghut’, with whom we closely cooperate to support each child’s continuous development. The after-school care centre is divided into two horizontal groups: one for children aged 4–7 and one for 8–12. Each group has its own spacious room. Outdoor play takes place on the school playground; in bad weather we can use the gym. Our pedagogical staff pick the children up on foot from Beatrixschool and Josefschool. For occasional excursions we use the BSO minibus, always after obtaining parental permission through the parent portal. At BSO de Vlindertuin children discover and develop their talents. Every day we offer a wide range of activities focused on movement, experience and relaxation. Children can craft in small groups, play games or enjoy a football match on the playground. We also make regular trips, for example to playground de Bomedikke or the Plantage. Parents often hear their child exclaim, “Are you here already?” We foster a sense of togetherness and let children naturally learn how to interact with others and the world around them. Clear agreements, values and group rules provide guidance. Children are encouraged to express their opinions and are given space to be heard. In this way your child grows in freedom and independence and takes big developmental steps.
