De Vuurtoren

Kindcentrum De Vuurtoren is located at Ciceropad 10 in The Hague and is part of Vlietkinderen. In our centre all forms of childcare are housed under one roof, allowing us to work seamlessly with local schools. Our after-school care (BSO) has room for 110 children aged 4 to 12. We pick the children up after school and bring them to a place that feels like a second home. Our pedagogical staff welcome every child personally in a warm, homely atmosphere. Our opening hours fit perfectly around school times: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm, Wednesday and Friday from 11:30 am to 6:30 pm. During holidays and study days we are open from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm. Fun, respect and development are at the heart of everything we do. Children decide for themselves whether they want to relax, join development-oriented activities or get help with homework. Every holiday is packed with adventurous themed days and outings to the forest, beach, dunes or playgrounds. Indoors we offer arts-and-crafts corners, sports and games afternoons and cosy reading or building areas. We work with fixed age groups so that activities match the children’s world exactly. Our pedagogical staff know every child and encourage self-confidence, cooperation and curiosity. Together with parents and schools we create a safe environment in which children develop a little further every day.
