Villa Tovertuin

Welcome to Villa Tovertuin, our small-scale after-school care centre located at Postweg 121 in Barger-Compascuum. Since 5 September 2011 we have offered a trusted place where children aged 4 to 12 can play, relax and grow after school. Our child centre combines a day-care facility and out-of-school care, yet we run the BSO with its own approach that perfectly matches the world of primary-school children. Our educational goal is clear: to let the core of every child blossom. We stimulate everything that is already present in the child as potential, so each child can be and become who they truly are. We observe and listen carefully to every child, adapting to their individual pace and possibilities. We celebrate diversity in personalities as an enrichment; we accept children as they are and trust in their natural ability to learn. Inside Villa Tovertuin we aim to provide a reliable, cosy, calm and friendly environment—a place children enjoy coming to and where parents can leave their children with peace of mind. We work on a small scale: a maximum of 22 children can attend our BSO at any one time, ensuring plenty of personal attention and a homely atmosphere. Our location has been officially registered in the National Childcare Register since 1 July 2025 under number 758890618 and is supervised by the GGD Drenthe. Villa Tovertuin is an independent business (Partnership under Common Firm, Chamber of Commerce 52716767) driven by one clear vision: guiding children towards the greatest possible independence while respecting their unique development.
