Villa De Amstel

Welcome to Villa De Amstel, our inspiring after-school care located in the heart of the Amstelkwartier in Amsterdam. We are situated at Welnastraat 845 and provide care for up to 120 children aged 4 to 12 years. As part of Stichting Swaan, we work closely with Montessori School De Amstel, allowing children to transition directly to our care in a familiar environment after school. At our location, everything revolves around discovery and trying new things. In our studio, children experiment with sewing machines, create their own wallets, or design colorful doll clothes. For those seeking more action, we organize hilarious tag-twist games or children can show their moves on the dance floor. Our Villa Specials make every afternoon extraordinary: from learning sign language to conducting exciting experiments in our laboratory – nothing is too crazy. We believe children should be able to take charge of their own afternoon. That's why we offer a variable range of activities where each child can choose what suits them best. Whether they want to play together, try something new, or just have some quiet time alone, they always feel at home with us. Our team consists of enthusiastic childcare professionals with diverse talents and sometimes slightly crazy ideas. While one colleague stands ready with an apron and press to make pear juice, another dresses up as a skilled circus artist on a trapeze. We participate just as enthusiastically with the children, because for us it's all about learning together, inspiring each other, and discovering the world around us.
