van Dijck

BSO van Dijck is located in the characteristic, over 100-year-old school building of Van Dijckschool at Van Dijcklaan 4 in Bilthoven. We are part of Kind & Co Ludens, the largest social childcare organization in the Netherlands. Our after-school care facility can accommodate up to 70 children. Our location features a renovated schoolyard (updated in 2022) and a natural play area with sandbox, slide, and outdoor play kitchen. Here children can build huts, play with sand and water, or simply enjoy outdoor activities. Inside, we have access to a classroom, craft room, auditorium, and gymnasium. These spaces provide ample opportunities for creative activities such as crafting and baking. We regularly bake delicious carrot cake together! Our pedagogical staff work according to the Pedagogical Heart of Kind&Co Ludens. This means we give children space to feel comfortable and have fun. We believe that play is discovery and learning, and therefore provide an inspiring and challenging environment. Together with the children, we work on themes that change regularly. Younger children make new friends while older children can relax on the couch with a book, magazine, or music. During school holidays, we are open from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM. We provide care for children aged 4 to 12. For children attending Van Dijckschool, we offer a convenient pickup service: our staff collect the children after school and ensure a smooth handover.
