Welcome to Up Childcare at ILSY-plantsoen 9 in The Hague. We are a modern, forward-thinking after-school care (BSO) where children aged 7 to 13 spend their time after school in a safe, challenging and above all fun environment. Sport and outdoor play are at the heart of what we do, because we believe that movement contributes to good health as well as to social skills and personal development. Our location at ILSY-plantsoen accommodates up to 70 children. We work from a clear pedagogical vision that matches the world of older primary school children: room for their own choices, plenty of challenge and always space to relax. Our pedagogical staff guide the children with enthusiasm and create a warm, homely atmosphere in which every child can be themselves. After school, children can join us for sports activities, creative projects or simply enjoy playing outside. We make extensive use of our outdoor space and encourage playing and working together. During school holidays we organise holiday care with a varied programme full of fun and challenge. We are rooted in the neighbourhood and work closely with parents, schools and the local community. Our approach is socially engaged and we believe it is important that children learn to interact with each other and with the world around them.
