BSO Treebeek

BSO Treebeek is an after-school care location run by Stichting Humankind in Brunssum. Located at Wijenweg 143C in the Treebeek district, we provide care for up to 44 children aged 4 to 13. Our spacious, homely setting is arranged into different activity corners so every child can choose what they feel like doing after school. Freedom of choice is key at BSO Treebeek. Children can get creative in the art studio, build with Lego or K’nex in the construction corner, play with dolls in the puppet area, or simply hang out and chat in the lounge corner. We also organise regular music sessions and sports & games such as football and disco parties. Building huts in the outdoor space is another favourite. We encourage children across all areas of development – motor, emotional, creative and intellectual – but nothing is compulsory; it is their free time after all. BSO Treebeek works closely with De Vlindertuin primary school, which is within walking distance. We pick the children up after school and bring them to our location. During school holidays we are open all day and offer a varied programme full of trips, creative workshops and sports clinics. Our experienced pedagogical staff provide a safe, familiar environment where every child can be themselves and discover new things. In short, BSO Treebeek is the place where school-age children from Treebeek and the surrounding area can play, relax and develop in their own way and at their own pace after school and during the holidays.
