BSO Tovenaar Merlijn

BSO Tovenaar Merlijn is located on the grounds of primary school Het Mozaïek at Waterhuizerweg 7 in Haren Gn and is part of Stichting Kinderopvang Haren (SKH). We provide after-school care for up to 78 children aged 4 to 12. The location has been registered in the National Childcare Register under number 173720250 since 1 January 2010. Our BSO radiates a warm, safe atmosphere. New children receive extra guidance so they quickly feel at home. We work with fixed table groups of up to ten children and one regular pedagogical employee; for children aged eight and older the group may contain up to fifteen children. Each table group has a mentor who is the first point of contact for both child and parent. Outdoors we have a large playground with a grass field, an enclosed sandpit with climbing wall and the schoolyard of Het Mozaïek. We are outside almost every day for football, go-karting, skating or romping in the fresh air. When the weather is less favourable we move indoors: in the play hall children can do crafts, build dens, dance, perform drama or quietly read in the seating area with a bookcase. We regularly organise workshops and excursions. BSO Tovenaar Merlijn is open five days a week during school weeks; during holiday weeks we are open on Wednesdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. We work closely with CBS de Borg and can, on a flexible basis, also accommodate children from other schools when their own location is full or closed. Good contact with parents is important to us; you are always welcome for a tour or an informal introductory meeting.
