Torenvilla

Torenvilla is our brand-new after-school care facility in the Torenlanden district of Steenwijk. Located at Mr. Zigher ter Steghestraat 3, right next to Basisschool B, we provide care for up to 80 children aged 4 to 12 years. Our BSO is designed as a homely and challenging place where children can relax, play and discover new things after school. We work with two separate groups that match different ages and developmental stages. The younger children (4-8 years) have their own space with quiet corners and play opportunities, while the older children (8-12 years) in the 8-PLUS group receive more challenges and responsibilities. We pick up children from all primary schools in Steenwijkerland. Upon arrival at the BSO, there is always fruit, drinks and a cracker ready. Children who arrive at 12:00 are offered a bread meal. We believe it's important that children can choose what they want to do. Therefore, we regularly organize children's meetings where children contribute ideas about activities and the layout of the spaces. Our pedagogical staff create a stimulating program together with the children, including crafts, outdoor play, sports and games. We have a large garden where children can romp and explore. At Speel@Home, we work from the principle of Healthy Childcare, where healthy nutrition and sufficient exercise are central.
