BSO Toermalijn

Welcome to BSO Toermalijn, located in the heart of Franeker at P.J. Troelstrastraat 24. As part of IKC Toermalijn, we provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 in a warm, safe environment where fun and development are central. Our BSO is part of the Integral Child Center Toermalijn, where education and care seamlessly connect. We work closely with primary school De Toermalijn, allowing children to grow and learn in one familiar location. The transition from school to after-school care is therefore smooth and familiar. We offer both before-school care (VSO) and after-school care (NSO). After school, children are picked up from various primary schools in Franeker and the surrounding area. Our pedagogical staff are ready to welcome the children with a smile and give them an afternoon full of activities and fun. Our spacious, bright BSO space offers plenty of opportunities for relaxation and challenge. Children can choose what they feel like: chatting with friends, being creative with crafts or drawing, playing outside in our safe garden, or participating in activities organized by our pedagogical staff. We have a special chill corner where children can relax with a book or quietly play a game. Outside, we have a beautiful playground where children can romp to their heart's content. We regularly organize nature and forest activities where children can discover the Franeker area. We also make trips to interesting places in the neighborhood. For the inner person is taken care of. We serve a healthy lunch with fresh fruit and drinks, taking into account any allergies or dietary requirements of your child. Our pedagogical staff are trained to deal well with various food allergies and ensure that every child can eat and drink safely and healthily. During school holidays and study days we are open from 08:00 to 18:30. We then offer a varied program with fun activities, outings and playtime. Each afternoon we work with a maximum of 20 children under the supervision of two qualified pedagogical staff, so that there is always sufficient personal attention for each child.
