Thuizzz IKC de Vuurbaak

Thuizzz IKC de Vuurbaak is located on the grounds of the reformed primary school De Vuurbaak at Almerelaan 18 in Urk. Starting from the 2025-2026 school year, we are working closely with the school to create an integral child centre where care and education seamlessly connect. Our after-school care (BSO) is specifically for children aged 4 to 13 and has a capacity of up to 12 children. We are a Christian organisation that wants children to understand they are unique, each with their own talents. The collaboration with De Vuurbaak means that children from 0 to 12 years experience a continuous development line under one roof. Thuizzz's pedagogical staff align activities and guidance with what was covered at school during the day, creating a familiar and recognisable line. Our BSO is open before and after school, on study days and during school holidays. Children can relax after a busy school day, play with peers and participate in activities that match their interests. The location has its own space within the school building, ensuring a smooth transition from school to after-school care. Thuizzz Christian childcare stands for care with heart. We think in terms of development and are locally connected to the Urk community. Every child is welcome, regardless of background or beliefs. We work from a warm, safe environment with room for discovery, play and growth.
