BSO Theo Thijssen

BSO Theo Thijssen is part of Quadrant kindercentra and is located on the grounds of Theo Thijssen primary school at Kerkweg-Oost 230 in Waddinxveen. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 who attend the primary school. Our location is spacious and accommodates up to 40 children. After school, our pedagogical staff pick up the children from their classrooms and bring them to our BSO room. A healthy meal is served first: fresh fruit, drinks and a nutritious sandwich. Then it's time for relaxation and play. The children choose what they want to do: crafts, sports, cooking or simply playing outside in our own garden. We work with fixed group compositions. Younger children (4-7 years) are together in their own group, older children (7-12 years) in another. This allows us to tailor activities to the age and development of the children. Weekly we create an activity schedule including sports tournaments, pizza baking, gardening and creative craft projects. During school weeks we are open from 14:00 to 18:30. In school holidays we provide care from 07:30 to 18:30. We work closely with Theo Thijssen primary school, ensuring a smooth transition from school to BSO. Our pedagogical staff know the children well and coordinate with teachers when needed.
