BSO Teun

BSO Teun is located inside Cleophasschool in the Overvecht district of Utrecht. We use a bright, spacious classroom (primary group Speurtocht) that we share with the preschool: toddler care Teun. The room is divided into different play and relaxation corners. There is a generous home corner where children role-play and develop social skills, and a quiet reading corner with cushions and books where children can curl up with a story. In the centre of the room are tables at various heights where we eat together and carry out craft or play activities that connect with the children’s world of experience. We also have access to the school’s play-and-learn square (primary group Kompas). This space is not used for free play, but as a flexible area where we sit together at a folding table to eat and drink or to run focused activities. During our open-door policy, primary-school children can use additional rooms: in the kitchen we cook and bake healthy recipes under supervision, and in the gym we play movement and team games that stimulate motor development. Our outdoor area is a green, fully enclosed playground with plenty of wooden climbing and clambering equipment, its own football pitch, and seating in sun or shade. The natural materials and challenging elements invite active outdoor play and discovery. At BSO Teun we welcome children aged 4 to 8. From the age of 7, children can, if desired, move on to BSO Synergo. We are open Monday to Friday. Study days on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday take place at Sport BSO Synergo, except for study days at Cleophasschool itself.
