TEC

Welcome to TEC, our special after-school care facility in the heart of Middelburg. We are located at Nederstraat 37, right next to the Bolwerk and centrally positioned in the city. Since August 2024, we have been providing a safe place for up to 22 children aged 4 to 13 years. TEC stands for Taal Expertise Centrum (Language Expertise Center) and is specifically designed for children of newcomers to Walcheren. Dutch language development is central to our approach. We understand that children may have experienced traumatic events, and therefore provide tailored care. Our pedagogical staff are specialized in guiding children who are still learning the Dutch language. We work closely with TEC Walcheren primary school, ensuring a smooth transition from school to after-school care. Children can receive homework guidance with us, and we offer activities that match their developmental level and interests. Our location is a trusted environment where every child gets the opportunity to grow and flourish. We believe in equal opportunities for every child. That's why we specifically focus on providing extra support where needed. Our approach aims not only to provide children with an enjoyable afternoon but also to stimulate their language development and strengthen their self-confidence.
