BSO Takatuka

Welcome to BSO Takatuka in Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel, part of Stichting Humankind. Located at Wolga 2, we provide out-of-school care on weekdays from 07:30 to 18:30 for up to 85 primary-school children. We believe children develop best when they can move, explore and simply be themselves. Our spacious premises feature a private vegetable garden where children learn to sow, harvest and taste fresh produce. Older children can relax, do homework or game in the dedicated 8+ room. During school holidays we offer a special programme packed with creative, sporty and nature-based activities, ensuring every day is exciting. Our professional staff greet each child warmly every morning and guide them through challenging activities tailored to their interests. BSO Takatuka works closely with local primary schools, collecting children safely after class and bringing them to our location. Our attractively designed rooms, large playground and varied materials guarantee new discoveries every day. We value children’s input; their ideas and wishes form the basis of our activity programme. In short, BSO Takatuka focuses on fun, development and a warm, home-like feeling. We provide a safe environment where children can grow in confidence and parents can leave their child with peace of mind.
