't Schrijverke

Welcome to BSO ‘t Schrijverke, located at Patagonstraat 2 in the Maaspoort district of ’s-Hertogenbosch. We are part of Kanteel Kinderopvang and provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 13. Our BSO is situated within Kindcentrum ‘t Schrijverke, allowing us to work closely with the primary school. After the school day ends, our pedagogical staff collect the children directly from their classrooms and guide them to the BSO area. We organise children into age-specific groups: a lower-year group (4-7 years) and an upper-year group (8-13 years). Each group has its own familiar space tailored to the children’s world. The younger children enjoy cosy corners with building areas, a play kitchen and reading dens, while the older children relax in a chill room with table tennis, games and a creative studio. This set-up lets every child unwind, play and explore at their own level. Our activity programme changes daily and seasonally. Examples include sports and movement sessions in the large gym, arts and crafts in the studio, cooking in our kitchen corner and nature walks in the neighbourhood. We follow the Kanteel Actief concept: twice a year the children, together with us, choose which workshops and themes will be offered. During school holidays we arrange extra outings such as a day in the forest, a sports clinic or a creative workshop. During care hours we serve a healthy lunch and a fruit-and-drink break. We take food allergies into account and adjust the menu accordingly. Parents can share ideas and feedback through our parent committee. In short, BSO ‘t Schrijverke gives your child every opportunity to play, learn and grow in a safe and familiar environment after school.
