Les Petits 't Kwakersnest IKC Westbroek

BSO de Westbroek is part of the Integral Child Centre (IKC) Westbroek located at Platbodem 201 in Velserbroek. We provide after-school care for up to 44 children aged 4 to 12. After school ends, our pedagogical staff collect the children from the kindergarten classes of De Westbroek primary school and walk together to our BSO rooms. Our spaces are arranged by age group: younger children have play corners with age-appropriate materials, while the upper-grade area features an art studio and a chill loft where children can relax or be creative. We use a horizontal group structure so children can play and learn with peers of the same age. Every day we offer a varied activity programme. We regularly go on outings: in summer there is surfing and beach fun for the upper grades, and during our nature weeks we build treehouses and explore the surroundings. We also organise sports and games, do crafts in the studio, and make use of our own outdoor area with a mud kitchen, sandpit and play equipment. Excursions with the BSO bus to nearby playgrounds or the Westbroek lake are favourite trips. Our location is open from 07:30 to 18:30. Before-school care starts at 07:30 and dovetails with school hours; after-school care runs until 18:30. For parents using another childcare provider in the area we arrange safe handover. BSO de Westbroek has been officially registered in the National Childcare Register since July 2020 under number 209845636 and has been part of Les Petits Kinderopvang since July 2024. We follow Les Petits’ pedagogical policy, which centres on safety, trust and enjoyment.
