BSO 't Groene eiland

BSO ’t Groene eiland is located inside the Brede School in the Floriande district of Hoofddorp. We provide after-school care for up to 111 children aged 4 to 12. Our facility has its own spaces within the school building and a large green outdoor playground with natural play features. Children also have access to the school’s gymnasiums and activity rooms. Nature, sustainability and physical activity are at the heart of our programme. Every day the children play outside on our spacious green ‘island’. A dedicated sports specialist organises a wide range of sports and games. Children are grouped by age: 4–6 years, 6–12 years, and on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday there is a separate group for 10-12 year-olds. Each group consists of 10 to 20 children. We pick the children up from nearby primary schools after class. Upon arrival they enjoy a healthy fruit snack and help decide how the afternoon will unfold. Our pedagogical staff are encouraged to design varied and engaging activities that include sport, creativity, relaxation and nature exploration. BSO ’t Groene eiland operates under Stichting Kinderopvang Haarlemmermeer and has been registered in the National Childcare Register since 1 January 2010 under number 179736097. We meet all statutory quality requirements and are supervised by the GGD Kennemerland.
