About this care
AI
BSO ‘t Boerderijke at Primary School Zeilberg is located right in the heart of the school: two spacious rooms on the ground floor of Zeilberg Primary at Margrietstraat 2 in Deurne. We provide after-school care here on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays for up to 30 children aged 4 to 12. At the start of each session the children are divided into two base groups: the large BSO room accommodates 20 children and the adjoining play hall has space for 10. This set-up offers calm and overview, while the connecting doors can stay open so children are free to choose where they want to play.
Our rooms are both safe and challenging. Children find a climbing corner, a creative table full of craft materials, a kitchen unit where they can slice fruit or bake biscuits themselves, and a cosy corner with cushions and books. The school gym and the extensive outdoor playground are just around the corner; here the children can play football, dodgeball or build dens. During school holidays the care moves to our Breemortelweg location, where even more outdoor space and a small children’s farm await.
We collect the children ourselves after school – with our own minibus or by car – from all primary schools in Deurne and the surrounding area. Parents who use morning care drop their child off with us in the morning; we make sure they are in class on time. On study days, free days and of course during all school holidays we are open all day. A varied activity programme is then on offer: from trips to the playground in Vlierden to sports and games days in the gym, from craft workshops to cooking with fresh vegetables from our vegetable garden.
Our pedagogical staff are ready with a listening ear, a comforting hug and a healthy dose of creativity. Every child has a fixed mentor who maintains contact with parents and closely follows the child’s development. We work with a clear daily structure while always leaving room for children’s own initiative. Together with the children we make new plans every day: who wants to romp outside, who is going to do crafts, who will help prepare the fruit? In this way children learn to make choices, take others into account and discover where their talents lie. At BSO ‘t Boerderijke every child feels seen, valued and above all: at home.Read more
