Welcome to VeenKids Childcare De Wielewaal, our homely after-school care facility in the Petenbos district of Veenendaal. We provide care for up to 24 children aged 4 to 13 years. Our cheerful mascot Wies Wielewaal, a playful yellow-black bird, welcomes the children every day at our location on Middellaan 151. At De Wielewaal, we believe it's important that children feel safe and valued. Our dedicated pedagogical staff provide care with passion and love in a warm, homely atmosphere. We work with small-scale groups, allowing plenty of room for personal attention and security. Our after-school care children are picked up from various primary schools in the area after school. We use sustainable transportation methods such as our electric GoCab bike taxi, but also cars, cargo bikes, or we walk. We find it important to be environmentally conscious and deliberately choose eco-friendly options. The activity program at De Wielewaal is diverse and challenging. Children can participate in sports and games activities, crafts, and creative workshops. We have a beautiful outdoor area where they can swing, play, and cycle to their heart's content. Additionally, we work with themes that connect to the children's world of experience and stimulate their development on social, emotional, cognitive, and motor levels. Since May 25, 2020, we have been officially registered in the National Childcare Register under number 864127595.
