Welcome to Struin location Nijmegen-Ooijpolder! Our Struinland is situated in the heart of the beautiful Ooijpolder, where we take children on adventures in nature after school. From Dijkgraaf van Wijckweg 11, we pick up children from various schools in Nijmegen-East and surrounding areas. With us, children roam through Stadswaard, adventure in Groenlanden, and climb trees at Kops Plateau. We build forts, catch frogs, and create unforgettable nature experiences. Our children learn about nature in their own environment through play. We believe that outdoor play is not only fun but also healthy and beneficial for children's development. Our location picks up children on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from: de Meander, de Buut, Sterredans, Petrus Canisius, Muze, Driemaster, Klokkenberg, Montessorischool, and Klein Heyendaal. On Wednesday and Friday, children from location Lent also join us, serving additional schools including De Verbinding, Het Talent, and De Geldershof. We have a garage and shelter location at Dijkgraaf van Wijckweg 11. When the weather becomes too severe, we shelter in the Struinhuis at Struinland. With the Struin bicycle, we transport children to various nature areas where they build huts, climb trees, catch fish with landing nets, search for beavers, complete survival courses, and even roast chestnuts on self-made fires. We create musical instruments from natural materials and make flower bouquets and grass wreaths. At the end of the day, parents pick up their children with rosy cheeks and bags full of treasures from nature. We work with a parent app where parents can find specific pick-up times. For children who need to be picked up earlier, we offer a return bicycle service that works like a bus line with different stops.
