BSO Struin Goffert-Dingo

Welcome to BSO Struin Goffert-Dingo, our nature-based after-school care located at Dingostraat 71 in Nijmegen. As part of Struin, the pioneer in nature childcare in the Netherlands, we provide after-school care for up to 112 children aged 4 to 13 years. Since April 28, 2011, we have been officially registered in the National Childcare Register under number 202842423. We pick up children five days a week from various schools in Nijmegen-Goffert. On Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays we collect children from schools in the Goffert neighborhood, while on Wednesdays and Fridays we also pick up from schools beyond this area. Our pedagogical staff are ready to safely escort your child from school to our BSO. At Struin Goffert-Dingo, we believe that children gain extra developmental opportunities by playing in wild nature. Our children experience unforgettable nature adventures: they roast chestnuts on self-made fires, catch fish with large landing nets, search for beavers, build huts and climb trees. They learn to make flower bouquets and grass wreaths, complete survival courses, catch mice with live traps, and prepare herb butter from spring plants. Of course, there's also time for free play in the forest with friends, playing tag and hide-and-seek, and finding peace in nature. Our BSO has access to various natural play areas around Nijmegen. For days with very bad weather, we have our own shelter where children can play dry and warm. We provide care during school weeks, holidays AND study days. Our professional group leaders ensure that every child feels comfortable and at ease. As Struin, we attach great importance to quality and safety. We work according to a pedagogical policy plan, protocols and house rules that can be requested from us. Our parent committee serves as a sounding board for parents and participates in discussions about policy and daily operations in the group.
