Strandlopers

Strandlopers after-school care is located in the community centre at Amerhof 66, Utrecht. We welcome up to 24 children aged 7 and older from the Wereldwijzer and Gertrudis schools. Our space consists of two adjoining rooms. In one room children can get creative: wood-working, clay modelling, crafting with a variety of materials or simply drawing. In the other room there is plenty of space to relax on the sofa with a book, play a board game, act in a play or discover the DJ inside you at our DJ table. Outside we have our own courtyard and we are also allowed to use the neighbouring school playground. In autumn and winter we can additionally use the gym for active games. Child participation is very important to us: the children actively help decide on activities and which materials we purchase. This way they learn to make choices and take responsibility for their own after-school time. In short, at Strandlopers children find a homely place where they can relax, play and discover new things after school, always in close consultation with each other.
