BSO Mikmak

BSO Mikmak is located at Hemsterhuislaan 4 in Haren Gn and is part of Stichting Kinderopvang Haren (SKH). We provide after-school care for up to 84 children aged 4 to 12. Our qualified pedagogical staff pick up the children on foot from school and bring them safely to our location. Upon arrival, we start with a shared table moment in the home group. Afterwards, children are free to choose where and with whom they want to play. Friends and siblings can meet up and enjoy playing together. We offer a diverse range of activities spread across all rooms – whether it’s crafting, building, outdoor play or just relaxing, there is always a place for every child. Our large outdoor space is shared by five home groups. Here children can cycle, swing, climb and tumble together, play in the sand, play football or build huts in the bushes. A shed with play materials is available for children to use independently. In addition to after-school care, we also provide before-school care (VSO) at the same location. This VSO is intended for children of the Nicolaas School and starts daily at 07:30. VSO can only be taken in combination with an after-school care contract. In the morning there is time for a game or craft activity before our staff walk the children to school and hand them over to the teachers. At BSO Mikmak, fun, attention and connection are central. We create a safe and stimulating environment in which children can develop at their own pace. Through open communication with parents, we ensure a seamless connection between home and childcare.
