Gespecialiseerde Buitenschoolse opvang Petrus Donders is part of Kindcentrum SBO Petrus Donders, located at De Stroom 15 in Gemert. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 13 who need extra support in language, cognition, behaviour and social-emotional development. After an intensive school day we make sure every child feels safe and at home. Our pedagogical staff are specially trained and work with smaller groups than regular after-school care. This allows us to tailor our guidance to the individual support needs of each child. We use a clear daily schedule so children know what to expect: first structured play together, then a healthy snack, followed by a calm moment with a relaxation exercise. This structure provides stability and contributes to a safe pedagogical climate. Besides relaxation we actively work on social-emotional development. Many of our children find it difficult to make contact with peers on their own; therefore we offer guided activities where playing and working together are central. We connect with the child’s world of experience and provide space for sports, play and creative expression, always adapted to what the child needs. Our location is housed within the SBO Petrus Donders school centre, ensuring a seamless transition between school and after-school care.
