Sport- & Zwem BSO Knoet

Sport- & Zwem BSO Knoet is located at Kanonnenpad 4 in Ede and is the place where children aged 4 to 12 can fully unwind after school by playing sports, games and – if they wish – swimming. We believe in mental relaxation through physical activity. Therefore, every weekday we offer a varied programme that takes place outdoors as much as possible. Our pedagogical staff – all graduates of sports colleges such as ALO, CIOS and Sport & Movement – guide the children in small age groups, from Penguins (4-5 years) to Elks (10+ years). Each group has its own sports programme tailored to their level and interests. In addition to sports, we regularly organise creative activities such as crafts and board games. The youngest children have a sandpit and a clearly arranged play area; the older groups get extra challenges on the large grass field, the 400-metre skate track or in the Hoekelumse forest. In bad weather we use the gymnasium of Pallas Athene College or De Peppel sports hall. Swimming is an important part of our offer: twice a week we take children to the nearby swimming pool for free swimming or swimming lessons. Our experience shows that children who join early become water-safe sooner and achieve their A and B diplomas faster. We pick up children from primary schools throughout Ede, including the schools around our other locations, so parents can always find childcare close to home. The most important step for registration is to fill in the online form on our website; afterwards we always make personal contact. No question is too much for us: maximum attention for both child and parent is central.
