Sport en Science BSO Eigenwijs

Sport en Science BSO Eigenwijs is located at Havikstraat 5A in Sittard and offers after-school care for up to 40 children aged 4 to 12. Our BSO has a unique concept: children get acquainted with both sports and science. Our pedagogical staff and sports coaches guide children in a safe, homely environment where discovery, movement and learning are central. After school our bus picks up the children from various primary schools in Sittard-Geleen. Upon arrival a healthy snack and drink are ready. Then the children choose whether to join a sports activity such as badminton, basketball or jazz-dancing, or to take part in a science workshop where they experiment and investigate. We also regularly build huts in our garden and make trips to fun places in the area. Our spacious garden offers plenty of opportunities to play and move around. Inside we have different corners where children can relax, play games or work on creative assignments. We work with a horizontal group structure in which younger and older children meet and learn from each other. We believe that every child is unique and has their own talents. Through our wide range of sports and science we encourage children to try new things, explore their own boundaries and thus develop self-confidence. We offer a warm, safe place where children can be themselves and grow with pleasure.
