Sport BSO Spartaan '20

Welcome to Sport BSO Spartaan ’20, located at Oldegaarde 251 in the Zuidwijk district of Rotterdam. We are a sporty after-school care facility for children aged 4 to 12, operated by Kiddoozz Childcare. Our site sits right next to the football pitch of Spartaan ’20 Sports Club, with whom we work closely. Every day the children can use the pitch and a dedicated sports coach organises sporting activities; joining an actual club training session is also an option. Inside we offer two bright group rooms: one large space divided into cosy and challenging play corners—home corner, reading corner and arts & crafts corner—and a smaller adjoining room for creative projects. After the shared meal and drink, children choose where they want to play, indoors or outside on the sports field. We run two base groups within one room, allowing children of different ages to meet and learn from each other. Our sporty character is reflected in a varied and challenging programme. Besides football and other sports and games, we also run creative workshops and excursions during the school holidays. Healthy eating is a priority: every weekday we serve a fresh, hot meal. We are open 52 weeks a year from 7:00 to 18:30 and give parents the flexibility to swap days. We collect children from OBS Toermalijn, Christophoor and Het Epos (VSO only) and encourage independence by letting children from Year 3 walk to class on their own. Our pedagogical staff escort the youngest children two-by-two to and from school, while older children are allowed to go independently under supervision. At Sport BSO Spartaan ’20 we believe every child should feel safe and be themselves. We create developmental opportunities by combining sport, play and relaxation.
