Welcome to Vlietkinderen Splash, our childcare center located in the heart of Leidschendam. We provide after-school care (BSO) for children aged 4 to 13 years in a warm, homely environment that is directly adjacent to primary school De Zonnewijzer. This unique location allows us to seamlessly connect with school hours and provide a familiar place where children immediately feel at home. Our BSO is housed in a charming building at Zaagmolenstraat 98F, accessible through the entrance on Rijnlandstraat, right next to the playground of primary school De Zonnewijzer. This direct connection to the school ensures that children can safely and confidently walk from school to after-school care. We work intensively with the school on continuous learning and development lines, creating a natural transition between school and childcare. At Vlietkinderen Splash, fun, respect and development are central. After an intensive school day, we offer children the space to relax, play and grow at their own pace. Our pedagogical staff create a safe environment where children can choose from various activities. From creative craft corners to sporting challenges, from quietly reading in our reading corner to making music with different instruments. We believe that every child is unique and therefore offer activities that match different interests and developmental levels. Our after-school care has a spacious garden and playground where children can romp to their heart's content. We regularly organize nature and discovery activities where children learn about the world around them. During holidays and study days, we offer an adventurous program full of outings and special activities. Think of visits to the park, creative workshops or sports clinics. We also collaborate with the adjacent apartment complex 'Vlietenhove', where elderly residents enjoy visits from our children. Singing together, reading books or attending a performance - these intergenerational encounters are precious for both young and old. At Vlietkinderen Splash, we find it important that children can be themselves. We offer a homely atmosphere in which there is room for rest and relaxation, but also for challenge and development.
